Waldorf-Inspired Forest Kindergarten

A weekly forest kindergarten for children aged 4–8, including:

  • Walk to the forest kindergarten
  • Morning circle with songs and games
  • Creative or craft activity
  • Shared picnic
  • Storytime or fairy tales
  • Free play
  • Closing circle
  • Walk back together

In dry and warm weather, we pack our hiking backpacks and head into the forest to our tipi camp. We gather firewood, cook and eat together around the fire, play guitar and sing, and finally spend the night together in the tipi.

A weekly class for pairs of children where we:

  • explore the foundations of music theory (including reading and writing notes and playing simple pieces from sheet music)
  • practise finger exercises and hand coordination
  • gather firSst experiences with improvising and composing

since October 2025

To suit different ages and interests, we offer the following weekly activities with ponies, from which children can choose:

  • Pony Classes covering the basics of interacting with ponies, caring for them, and using different equipment when working with them.
  • Led Pony Rides through the surrounding forrests and fields
  • Arena and trail Riding Lessons in English or Western riding

  • hiking
  • climbing
  • building in the forest
  • exploring the water current and making a watermill
  • playing with natural materials
  • and whatever adventures come along 🙂

Weekly Free Play

We meet on a set day each week for free play in the “classroom” or in the forest.

In this project, we organized a monthly outing and workshop for children aged 3 to 10 for one year, inspired by the seasons. In addition, there were four colorful seasonal festivals where parents, children, neighbours, and friends gathered. We also renovated and furnished a large room, which we now use both for workshops and for free play sessions. This booklet in croatian language brings together our excursions and workshops as an educational guide:

For six months, as part of this project, we offered a monthly creative workshop for children aged 3 to 10. The topics ranged from parachute games and folk dances from around the world to children’s circus, percussion instruments, acrobatics, and theatre. In addition, free play sessions were held regularly once a week in our “classroom.”
